1—Do you photograph POC or LGBTQ couples?

HELL YES I DO! I have always believed that love is love and everyone’s story deserves to be captured, but I really haven’t done a good job of portraying that and I apologize! I am working on further diversifying my portfolio to better represent same sex couples and POC. I realize I have been too focused on not wanting to tokenize anyone which has ultimately kept me silent and just hoping for POC and LGBTQ couples to find me organically (insert eye roll) I’ve found I’m doing the complete opposite of what I stand for by doing that and I want you to know I am an inclusive photographer celebrating ALL love and I stand for equality and justice. If being a good human isn’t your jam, please don’t bother filling out my contact form and I say that in the nicest way possible :)

2— Do you help us plan the timeline to our day?

ohhh yesssss! i am always heavily involved in the timeline process. girlfriend wants to make sure your day flows perfectly for everyone involved! i know how much time i need to get my job done and that’ll help form the timeline of your day. we will work together to create the best timeline to suit your wedding.

3— Can you help us with what to wear for our engagement session? Can we shoot them on a weekend date?

1,000%! what you wear really impacts the overall feel of the images and how i can edit your images to fit my style that you love. let me help you! I promise you, I love to do this!

With the craziness of my wedding schedule each year and now a new mama, I reserve weekends solely for weddings. My husband, family and friends work M-F so I do what I can to give them the other half of my weekends each year.

4— How do we lock you in? 

you and your partner must sign the online contract and pay the $2,500+tax non refundable, retainer fee in order to lock me in officially! the retainer fee will go towards your final balance. :) once you do, it’s the real deal and i’m alllll yours!

5— What if we change our date or cancel?

If the wedding needs to be rescheduled for any reason, the new date must be within six months of the original scheduled date or the retainer fee becomes a cancellation fee. A new retainer and contract will be required to book a date outside of six months of the original date. The new package price will reflect pricing in effect when the date change occurs. 

6— How long until I can get all of the images?

it’s always my goal to get you your images asap! during the slower wedding season, you can expect your images back in 4-7 weeks and during the busier time, 8-12 weeks unless otherwise stated. you will absolutely get a sneak preview to hold you over! April-November are the busiest months for me and i’d rather give you quality work vs rushing your images just to get them back to you so timing may be longer!

7— What if I want a black and white image in color?

you’ve hired me because you love me and my work (how i pose, edit, etc) and i have your absolute best interest in mind. so, when you hire me, you are acknowledging that I retain the creative control within the boundaries of our agreed upon services (reflected in your contract.) you can request additional editing after your gallery has been delivered for an additional cost listed in your contract.

8— Can I give you my Pinterest board?

sure! but please keep in mind that at the end of the day, the images you have pinned are not your wedding and sometimes not my photographs or way of photographing. we can feed off a couple shots for inspo, but i don’t want to miss capturing your wedding day in all the goodness that it is because we were too busy trying to follow a pinterest board. trust me, i know what i’m doing and have almost 200 wedding galleries to show it! :)as for specific shots like people combos or personal details, I’m alllll for that!!

9— Do you have any favorite vendors?

10— Will we get the copyright to all the images?

all images will be copyrighted under Kaley Rae Photography LLC, but you will get allllll of the printing + sharing rights!! basically, you can use them however you please as long as you aren’t profiting off of them (we’ll have to arrange a fair agreement if you are approached with an opportunity) and you respect my clause of not altering any images i give to you (with the exception of cropping)!

that’s a hard no and an industry standard. think of it as if i were to deliver your cake without the frosting, or your bouquet unassembled. it just doesn’t work like that. i like to think of photography as two parts and you’re paying me for both the actual photos and my artistic touch. if you want the RAWs, we can chat, but it’ll literally cost you a bajillion dollars on top of your package. ;)

11— Can we get the RAW files?
